Four years ago, I visited this country as a filmmaker at the Berlinale Talent Campus. Today, I am back to Berlin, and with a difference! What a world!

I wonder if ever I could have accepted it if someone told me back then that I will come back to this beautiful city not as a filmmaker but as a WRITER!

I guess I’m lucky to have been invited by the Takt Kunstprojektraum to be part of its family this month of May. Looking back at my memorable experiences while at the Sanskriti Pratishthan Kendra foundation residency as a writer in March, I could not avoid comparing the differences being both of them in two different worlds and people.

Sanskriti is in New Delhi, India and far from home (Paris); Berlin is just a-hour and half by air from home. You can feel the contrast between the two. Despite, Berlin has always proven to me to be a lovely city. You cannot avoid noticing what holds it together in culture and its people.

Tomorrow; I’m going to start giving you the details of my residence here. Believe me, you will love it! Check out for the pictures and more to come.
